About the Team

The Hungarian national football team, officially known as the Hungarian Magyar labdarúgó-válogatott, represents Hungary in men's FIFA and UEFA tournaments and is controlled by the Hungarian Football Federation (MLSZ). The team has a rich history and has competed in numerous major tournaments, including the FIFA World Cup and the UEFA European Championship.

History and Achievements

The Hungarian national team was founded in 1901 and has been consistently ranked among the top teams in Europe and the world. The team's most successful period came in the 1950s, known as the "Golden Team" era, when they won Olympic gold in 1952, were runners-up in the 1954 World Cup, and were ranked number one in the FIFA rankings for several years.

Hungary has qualified for nine World Cups and four European Championships, and has a strong record in international competitions. The team has won the Central European International Cup four times and the Kirin Cup once.

Current Team and Performance

The current Hungarian national team is a mix of experienced players and promising young talent. The team is led by captain Balázs Dzsudzsák and features other notable players such as Péter Gulácsi, Ádám Szalai, and Roland Sallai. Hungary is currently ranked 37th in the FIFA rankings.

In recent years, Hungary has shown signs of improvement under the guidance of coach Marco Rossi. The team has qualified for the 2020 European Championship and performed well in the UEFA Nations League, finishing first in their group in League B.
